Pregnancy and Immunology

Abstract
The concept of normal pregnancy implied the adjustment of the maternal organism to an antigenetically foreign and placenta.
The immunological alterations during pregnancy are initiated at the placental site by the hormones of the pregnancy. Production of the immunoregulatory agents by the mother and fetus modulates the immune response, and the blocking antibodies prevents the cytolytic attack. Undoubtedly, the puzzle of the nonrejection of hte allograft fetus will be soon resolved.
